Yum! Those boys in Winthrop make some mean ales! This edition makes my prized list of Island IPA's. Nose and mouth agree on all aspects of this beer; semi sweet citrus, smooth bitterness, tangible booze. Clear and clean. Striking resemblance to Pliny! Keep it up Winthrop!! Pours light amber with a large foamy beige head. Aroma is heavily floral over light caramel. Flavor is piney/citrus/floral with pine seeming to come on predominately. Certainly true to the NW traditions of hop/hop/hop. Nice long smooth bitter finish. Excellent. (rateBeer, Woodland, CA, 2011)
My sister brought two cases of your wonderful beer to my 50th birthday party a few weeks ago and I have to say that the Imperial IPA was the best I have had... Nicely done to the Brewmaster! (Pete, a 50-year-old Imperial IPA fan and friend from California.)
