Reviews:

Pours black with a light tan head, nice thin cap of lacing left behind. Smells of chocolate, dark fruits, anise, sweet dark breads, and a tad of licorice. Tastes of dark fruits, chocolate and coffee, licorice, sweet bread, with a bitter char aftertaste to round it out. Carbonation is medium high, mouthfeel is not too syrupy at all. Slight alcohol burn gives notes of dark rum and dates; I think I need to snag a few more bottles for later. (BeerAdvocate, Steilacom, WA 2011)

The color is black. The head is thick, creamy and leaves a constallation lacing. Chocolate, caramel, and vanilla are in the aroma. All three are my favorite aromas. It taste like liquid chocolate. It has a very sweet taste. Creamy texture with a full body. The finish is very creamy smooth. It coats your mouth and leaves a sweet taste on your lips. Thank god I finally had an awesome beer today.
